F. Doctrine of Adherence to Jurisdiction and Residual Jurisdiction

Scenario:

1. Person A filed a civil case for damages against Person B in the Regional Trial Court (RTC). The RTC dismissed the case for lack of jurisdiction. Person A appealed the dismissal to the Court of Appeals (CA). Upon review, the CA affirmed the RTC's dismissal for lack of jurisdiction. Person A now wants to elevate the case to the Supreme Court (SC).
2. Person C filed a complaint against XYZ Corporation for unfair trade practices before the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The DTI dismissed the complaint, stating that it does not have jurisdiction over the matter. Person C now wants to seek relief from the court.
